What If Companies Used Average Guys as Underwear Models?

The standard for any female model is generally an impossibly thin frame, which doesn't look anything like the "average" woman. As one might imagine, being bombarded with these images can do a number on a girl's self-esteem.

What most people don't realize, however, is that guys face a very similar struggle. Male models are generally muscular, with chiseled features and, in the case of underwear models, they're extremely well-endowed.

Obviously, very different physical features for the males and females, but at the end of the day, the concept is the same. Models (of both sexes) portray an image that is extremely difficult for the average person to achieve - and why should they feel like they have to? Aren't we fine just the way we are?

To demonstrate the difference between male models and reality, these regular guys recreated some famous underwear ads. Sure, they don't look as lust-worthy as the models, but that's what average guys look like in their underwear, whether society wants to admit it or not.

A lot of people think that only women struggle with body image issues, but that is not the case. Not even close. In fact, male body image concerns continue to rise and the rate of eating disorders among college males alone is between 4-10% although males are also less likely than females to seek treatment, so the percentage could actually be much higher.

That being the case, we can hopefully all appreciate the message these brave men are sending.
