Fourth of July isn't until next Friday, but Amy Adams is already feeling patriotic...and generous.
The American Hustle actress was set to sit first class on an L.A. bound flight Friday from Detroit when she noticed a solider in uniform at the gate. The Oscar-nominated star then privately asked to switch seats with him, and chose to sit in coach herself instead.
Fellow passenger and ESPN2 host Jemele Hill witnessed the kind act and gave Amy props on social media.
Just saw actress Amy Adams do something incredibly classy. She gave her 1st class seat to an American soldier. I'm an even bigger fan now.

After Amy, whose father was also in the military, swapped seats with him, she reportedly went to chat with the solider briefly. "Ms. Adams did it so quietly and quickly that it speaks to her character," Jemele told ABC News of her switcheroo. "And somebody in coach just got a helluva seatmate!"Indeed! Well done, Amy. We salute you!
