As it turns out, Jeremy Meeks is a family man.The 30-year-old California resident, whose mugshot went viral this week, is not only married, but also has a son. Following his arrest Wednesday and rise to Internet fame the next day, his mom Katherine Angier reportedly set up a GoFundMe page for her son and posted pics of him hanging out with his little boy.
In one pic, Jeremy and his son are smiling at each other as he holds on to his little one who'se wrapped up in a blanket. In another shot, Jeremy is smiling again as he holds his son.
"He has a job and...he was on his way to work," she wrote on the page. "With no gang affiliations as per two of the charges. He has old tattoos..which causes him to be sterotyped. He's my son and I'm just trying to raise funds to help him in anyway. Please help him to get a fair trial or else he'll be railroaded."
Katherine's goal is to raise $25,000 for her son. As of Saturday afternoon, she had raised $2,680.Jeremy was busted after the Stockton, Calif. Police Department arrested several gang members in a sweep and was charged with street terrorism. He previously spent nine years in prison for grand theft, according to ABC 10.
When his mugshot popped up on Facebook Thursday, ladies went wild, writing, "Omg come to mama" and "Hottttt" in the comments. The photo has since gotten a total of over 89,000 likes.
Jeremy went on to do an interview with ABC 10 saying he appreciated the attention, but, being behind bars isn't who he is. "I just want them to know this is really not me," he said. "I'm not some kingpin."
According to TMZ, Jeremy has been married for four years and his son is three years old.
