Katy Perry's "Roar" video features the singer in a jungle setting, where she is interacting with a variety of animals, including a tiger, a lion and an elephant. PETA is now speaking out against the video, saying...Most people seem to love Katy Perry's song "Roar" and the jungle-tastic video that goes along with it--but there is one group who is not too thrilled with the whole thing.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is speaking out against Katy's video, saying that it is cruel to animals.

"Animals used for entertainment endure horrific cruelty and suffer from extreme confinement and violent training methods," a PETA spokesperson told the Daily Star. "They often become stressed and anxious when hauled around and forced into unfamiliar or frightening situations."

To make matters worse, the rep added that Katy might have used animals from a place called "The Seremgeti Ranch," which she claims has a questionable reputation and has been inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture 22 times since 2001.

Before the backlash, the singer said in a behind-the-scenes interview for Nokia that she was working with some "very well-trained, very well-mannered animals," and they showed some shots of her working with the monkey.

Although she has not spoken out about PETA's comments, Katy is a vegan and the site even wrote an article about her in 2010, commending her plans to have a a "Vegan Christmas."

Check out the video below and tell us if you think Katy's "Roar" is cruel to animals.
