Subsequently, the social security numbers, credit reports and home addresses of the victims was leaked online, which opened them up to a variety of risks, including identity theft.
Now, it seems that the leak did cause Kris Jenner's identity to be compromised and the thieves allegedly transferred more than $70,000 from Kris' account to their own, RadarOnline is reporting.
Two people were arrested at their shared Florida apartment on August 7 on charges related to the incident.
According to Radar's report, the duo got the info when it was leaked online in March and called American Express and attempted to change the social security numbers that were associated with the celebrities' accounts.
They also reportedly targeted prominent political figures and other celebrities such as Beyonce, Mel Gibson and Ashton Kutcher before they were caught.
