Glee pays tribute to the death of his character, Finn, with a full episode this coming season. And one of his last films, All the Wrong Reasons, will premiere at The Toronto International Film Festival in September. It's a fitting tribute to have this film makes its debut in Toronto as the late actor is originally from Canada. All the Wrong Reasons was directed by fellow Canadian Gia Milani and stars Emily Hampshire, Kevin Zegers (who's also in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones), and Karine Vanasse. The film tells the story of four everyday people, a store manager, a security guard, a firefighter and a clerk, whose lives intersect in a big-box department store. Cory's character is a real departure from his Glee role. He plays James Ascher, a store manager whose wife is suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). All The Wrong Reasons was filmed in the summer of 2012 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
In his final film, Cory showed off yet another side by shedding that good-guy persona we all came to love from Finn. McCanick, a gritty drama in which he played a criminal, is currently in post-production, but it's expected to play at another film festival later this fall.
