Zedd, the producer on Lady Gaga's new album ARTPOP shares some details about what they've been working on and how many potential tracks they have so far. There has been a lot of speculation about Lady Gaga's upcoming album ARTPOP.Who will she be collaborating with? What will the songs sound like? Will she be touring?
Of course, in typical Gaga style, she may or may not have dropped a few hints with some of her tweets and other messages to her fans, but nobody really knew for sure.
Now, the ARTPOP producer has spilled some secrets about the album and it sounds like it's going to be bigger and better than anything Gaga has ever done before (who knew that was possible?)
Zedd, a German DJ and producer, has been working with Gaga on ARTPOP and told Rolling Stone that he can't wait for people to hear what they've come up with, saying, "I think the stuff we've made is pretty f-king awesome!"
We don't doubt that for a second!
He also says that they have "around five or six" potential tracks written for the album.
As for the music, Zedd says, "Her first idea of how we should approach the music was just to be completely open - nothing is too crazy. Whatever is dope is dope. We do whatever we want, and we don't have to make a song that's 3 minutes and 30 seconds just to fit the radio."
Since Zedd is known for more of an EDM style, the mag asked him if that's the direction Gaga's new music is headed in. "We didn't try to make an EDM album - but, at the same time, we didn't try not to make an EDM album," he confesses. "It's been a very experimental way of approaching music," he admits, saying he's done a lot of stuff outside of what he normally does.
We can't wait to hear what they've come up with!
