A French artist named Orlan is suing Lady Gaga alleging that she stole ideas from her and used them, specifically citing her "Born This Way" video where Gaga uses an image that is similar to one of Orlan's sculptures. Lady Gaga prides herself on her uniqueness and originality...so, she must not be too happy that she's once again being accused of plagiarism.

Immediately after Gaga's "Born This Way" single was released, people accused her of ripping off elements from Madonna's 1989 hit "Express Yourself" to use on the track.

Even Madonna herself addressed the controversy when she played a mash-up of both songs during a concert in Israel and then immediately launched into a song titled "She's Not Me."

Now, a second artist is accusing Mother Monster of stealing their ideas.

French artist Orlan is suing Gaga for $31.7 million or 7.5% of the profits from the "Born This Way" album and video, claiming that many of the concepts used were actually her own.

The suit mentions the beginning of the "Born This Way" video, which shows the singer's decapitated head and is similar to Orlan's "Femme Avec Tête" ("Woman With Head") sculpture.

Also, Gaga recently started wearing makeup that looked like facial implants and Orlan has had real facial implants since the 1990's when she had them surgically implanted.

Still, when it comes to copying someone's likeness, it's hard to draw the line between imitation and inspiration.

Do you think Gaga steals other people's ideas?
