When Teen Mom star Amber Portwood went to jail in June 2012, baby daddy Gary Shirley suddenly found himself raising his daughter all alone.
It's hard enough being a teen parent, but being a single teen parent is even more difficult!
Gary recently spoke out about what it's been like pulling double duty and playing both 'Mom' and 'Dad' to their four-year-old daughter, Leah.
"It's easy being a dad the hard part is being the dad and the mom," Gary tweeted.
While it may be hard, Gary seems to be doing a great job!
The proud papa is always posting pics of their fun adventures (like going to Zumba together!), he's been teaching her how to save money and he's actually quite the cook! Just look at this spinach chicken alfredo pizza he made!
Most importantly, little Leah seems quite content with her living situation...and we can't say that we blame her!
Keep up the good work, Gary!
As for his relationship with Amber, Gary says, "We talk quite a bit. She's doing great. We are proud of her. I'm proud of her...."
