What Happened When I Tried 10 Different Nail Trends - AT ONCE

$

Here's a confession: I've never gotten my nails done before. I'm a simple girl with a large nail polish collection and tend to just paint them a different color every week. Done. Plus, I have bad nail habits and assumed I would be met with great judgement or tsk tsk'ing by the manicurist (like they do at the dentist when you admit that you don't floss). Excuses, excuses. But then I got the opportunity to try out a nail trend. Actually, 10 nail trends. All at the same time. Go big or go home, right folks? Right.

The challenge required a free afternoon, a very patient manicurist (shout out to Amie and the awesome folks at Federico Beauty Institute in Sacramento, California!), and these 10 trends:
First of all, let me say that getting your nails done is a strange experience. There's a lot of cuticle pushing, sanding and inhalants. The chemicals are pretty crazy, you guys. I thought that nails were just glued on top of the nail bed - uh, no. These people sculpt nails on top of your nails, and the stuff is solid. It becomes a part of you. Which was fun and not fun when it came time to take it all off.
After asking Amie if anyone had ever come to her for this many different trends at once (they hadn't), we got to work. As you can see from my face, it was quite the task. Amie said that the stiletto nails were a fairly common request, and that the aquarium nails had been a on/off trend for a while.

A few hours, a lot of acrylic, sanding, nail polish, and glitter later, the results were amusing if not jarringly impractical.
1. Bubble This one sucked. It was crazy thick/dome-like, and weighed down my finger. And that wasn't even as severe as some of the bubble nails I've seen. It brought to mind one of those chips made for scooping dips. Gross.

2. Dew Drop This one actually turned out really cool, the texture and top coat made it look very realistic. The consensus around the salon was that it would make a great accent nail.

3. Duck Feet No. Honey.

4. Flip This one was one of my favorites. It's a simple polish with a surprise - an accent color on the flip side. We went with glitter, which is the only way I'll ever do these in the future (I mean, sometimes a girl just needs glitter).

5. Spine - This was a pretty simple idea - a bold nail with a feathery spine painted on. I actually kept this design on my nail after the intense removal process.

6. Rich Fall Color in Matte I also kept this one after. It was simple and classic - great for autumn wardrobe colors. No fuss!

7. 3D So pretty! The only issue with this design, according to the manicurist, is that it's not great for people that have to use their hands a lot. Like people with jobs or apartments without dishwashers (I have both those things! Lucky me!), because a lot of friction will cause the jewels/3D parts to just fall off or become weird. So fun to look at, though.
8. Aquarium I have a love/hate relationship with the Aqua nail. It's really thick and long, like, part of it was glued to my fingertip. It was super painful to take off. But! I had a snow globe on my finger! It was a little too much fun to shake around. Fun and distracting (I would never accomplish anything. I have the attention span of an excited toddler).

9. Stiletto - SO sassy. The ladies at the salon agreed that this one was great because of the way it elongates the finger. I liked it because it made me feel like a character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer for some reason. I also joked that no one should pick a fight with me with stiletto nails. The reality with this one, however, is that I would inevitably end up stabbing myself or anyone I tried to hug. So less Buffy, more Edward Scissorhands.

10. Dealer's choice - the traditional "Pink & White" I asked Amie to choose her favorite trend that she thinks will be coming up. "People are always going to ask for the pink and white French tip, it's a classic," she said.
So there you go, dear reader. Ten trends in one. Amie said she thinks the simpler looks are what's coming back in style, which makes her happy. And me, too. Because ain't nobody got time to deconstruct 10 different (well, 8, because I kept the thumbs) nails. Also, having so many different shapes on my nails made doing simple things rather difficult. For example:
Actually, I'm gonna share with y'all what happens when you try to take nails off. Basically you soak your nails in bowls of acetone for at least an hour, hopefully with a good Netflix marathon going on in the background. It basically means dissolving concrete off your body, so next time you're thinking of getting a crazy manicure, remember this comes with the territory (RIP, IKEA bowls), and it ain't so pretty.

I Met My Bestie Online

What does it take to be considered a best friend? The way I see it, a best friend supports you, loves you and is there for you, and that's exactly what my best friend does for me.

I met my best friend on Christmas last year. We started talking in a group chat through WhatsApp. The chat was for One Direction fans all over the world, and I made a lot of friends there. But the one person I connected most with was Pan. Since Christmas, we've talked every day to each other about everything normal friends talk about. School, family and 1D, of course! We give each other advice and nicknames. We send selfies to each other, and I even sent her a birthday present. We try to be as close to each other as possible, even though we live 2,889 miles apart.I live on the East Coast of America, and she lives all the way on the West Coast. One day, I really want to meet her. It's one of the things we talk about the most. I want to meet her more than I want to meet Liam Payne. The first time I hug her will be one of the best moments of my life. Hopefully it's not too long until that day.

I used to think that Internet friends weren't real. I used to think that you couldn't really get to know someone if you weren't right by her side. I've never been more wrong. There are times when I miss Pan, and I can't wait to talk to her again. It's just like having a real-life best friend, because it is.

You always have to be careful, though, because it is so much easier to lie on the Internet than IRL. Never give out too much personal information while talking online. It is said so often, but it is so important. Make sure you know whom you're talking to. If you're really unsure or uncomfortable while talking to someone online, log off and talk to a parent or someone you trust and see what they think.

I'm so happy to have someone like Pan in my life. Even though we can't always be together, I know she is always there for me. We've been through thick and thin, and we'll stick together forever.
Tell us about your Internet BFF! Have you met, or are you planning to meet up? Let us know!

FTW, Jennifer Lawrence Tops Forbes' List of Highest-Paid Actresses in 2015

Magnolia Pictures And The Cinema Society With Dior Beauty Host A Screening Of She may be the star of The Hunger Games franchise, but Jennifer Lawrence's pockets definitely aren't starving. According to Forbes, J. Law is the world's highest paid actress, having earned an estimated $52 million before taxes between June 2014 and June 2015.

In case anyone's wondering, that adds up to a whopping $4.33 million per month. If that number immediately sent you into a daydream where Jennifer treated you to an all-day shopping spree, then make sure you buy us something nice.

In the meantime, let's get back to reality and the matter of J. Law's massive annual income. Back in May, it was reported that J. Law fought to secure a $20 million payday for her role in the upcoming film Joy, which amounts to a cool $10 mil more than her male co-star Chris Pratt. Clearly, Jennifer clearing the aforementioned gender pay gap hurdle and topping Forbes' newest global salary ranking certainly proves that she's a beast both on and off the screen. It's huge progress, but when compared against the top earning actors, women still feel the slight.

As pointed out by the A.V. Club, Robert Downey, Jr. topped the list of highest paid actors, earning $80 million, or nearly $30 million more than J. Law. Perhaps something other than gender factors into that disparity, but the fact that Jennifer and Scarlett Johansson are the only two women on the overall top 10 list that combines the male and female actors and their 2015 salaries indicates that women continue to fight an uphill battle in making sure that we're paid what we deserve.

Keep fighting the good fight, Jennifer!

4 Signs You're Addicted to YouTube

teenage girl watching Kylie Minogue video on Youtube website on laptop computerYou know when you get an amazing song stuck in your head, so you start to play it on YouTube? Then you see a link to another song, then another, then another, and before you know it, you're watching a cat play piano. Has this ever happened to you? If so, you are addicted to YouTube. And if you don't know for sure, here are four telltale signs.

1. You find yourself saying, "Only one more then I'll go to bed" until 4 a.m.

Trust me, we all understand this. You discovered a new YouTuber, someone falls off of a trampoline to music, a cat chases a bird outside, etc. We've all done this before, especially when someone posts a whole TV series on YouTube.

2. You start wanting to "skip" to the good part for everything. And I mean everything.

You start reading The Hunger Games, but it gets too slow, so you just end up reading Mockingjay.

3. You start to get bored while watching movies and thinking that "It's the longest YouTube video ever."

Once Jack and Rose meet, it's time to skip to the deaths.
4. You watch YouTube on your phone so much that you use up all of that month's gigabyte usage.

Then you end up paying for five extra gigabytes with your money for food.

Those are the four signs you are addicted to YouTube. Are you addicted?

2 Emmy Nominations That Have Me Fangirling Like Whoa

Disney Channel's I'm a really big Disney fan. I've grown up watching many of its shows, so when two, I REPEAT TWO, of my favorite Disney series were nominated for Emmys, you can only imagine how excited I was! Am. Still excited over here!
My all-time favorite Disney show is Girl Meets World, as you'll come to know. The show, not even halfway through its second season, has been nominated for its first Emmy, for Outstanding Children's Program. The cast is probably as excited as I am!

The actress who practically defined my childhood, G Hannelius, is one of the main characters of Disney's Dog With a Blog, which was also nominated for an Emmy - its third. The show is strange, but the whole family dynamic brings it together. Those are my favorite Emmy nominations, and clearly, the ones I'm most excited for. What are yours?

The War on Skinny B**ches Has to End

Germany, Leipzig, Two overweight men with slender woman sitting on beachI vividly remember the first time I heard Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" on the radio. I was instantly hooked to her jazzy vocals. That's when I was hit with this line:

I'm bringing booty back
Go ahead and tell them skinny b**ches that

I recall feeling a distinct twinge of hurt. What started out as a fun song about embracing our bodies quickly became a celebration of curves - while attacking thin women. This has been a problem of mine for years.
Meghan's song caused my frustration with this back-and-forth between thin and curvier women to resurface. Why is there a divide? Why are we side-eying each other? Telling a plus-size woman to lose weight or telling a thin woman to "eat a burger" strengthens the culture of control that prevails in our society. Such statements, whether cruelly-intended or simply a bad joke, assume something like a jean size or a number on a scale is within every individual's complete control. This is where the cycle of self-criticism and the frustration that follows it begins.

Our consumer culture relies on the low self esteem of the consumer. You may buy something because you feel it will help you "improve" - not simply because you even like it - and this is especially true if you are also being bombarded with imagery of "ideal" beauty oftentimes presented in marketing and advertising.

Laura Mulvey and David Mirzoeff, scholars from my days as an art history student, introduced me to the concept of "the gaze," which explores the power differentials that result from the relationship between an image subject and the image's viewer: "Women are to be looked at and put on display; both the camera apparatus and the male gaze regulate [them] and thus women can only identity with the self as an object." So, we see these (dominantly) male-purported advertisements and we see their supposed ideals, but not our own. Over and over again, we are told that we are not good enough and that there is an urgent need for us to change.
As Naomi Wolf so poignantly said, "A culture fixated on female thinness is not an obsession about female beauty, but an obsession about female obedience. Dieting is the most potent political sedative in women's history; a quietly mad population is a tractable one."

This spoke to me so strongly. I was reminded of it when The Thrillist's Adam K. Raymond wrote about his experience eating only food specifically marketed at women, such as Lean Cuisines, Luna Bars and calorie-measured desserts among other items. Adam admitted that, even after only two weeks of this regiment, "the constant reminder that I was or should be on a diet was exhausting."

I've calorie counted in the past, and that is exactly how I would describe it. It tires you. It controls your mind. And it suggests that you must limit yourself because you're flawed in a way that is not only inexcusable but also your fault. My self esteem plummeted, and I felt discouraged and unmotivated with not just my body, but my career and my relationships.

The flaws, however, are in the eye of the beholder. What if you didn't need to improve at all? What if we as women stopped tearing each other down in a hopeless competition and admired each other's beauty without doubting our own? If more women loved themselves the way we all deserve, we could also support each other and build each other up instead of labeling one another as "skinny b**ches." Let me know when that song comes out.

And, in case you're curious, here's what I look like - no label needed!

Jenelle Evans Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Nathan's New Girlfriend

OK! Magazine's So Sexy NYC EventJenelle Evans has reportedly just been arrested for assaulting her ex-fiance's new girlfriend.

According to TMZ, when Nathan Griffith arrived at Jenelle's South Carolina home to pick up his belongings, he had his new girlfriend in tow, which was obviously upsetting to Jenelle. She apparently ran out of the house and threw a glass at the girl, striking her in the head. When cops arrived, they placed the reality star under arrest for assault and as of right now, she remains in custody.

Jenelle and Nathan had been on again and off again more times than we could count in recent months. Earlier this month, Jenelle confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that she and Nathan had once again called off their engagement. "I'm enjoying being a mom," she told them. "I just celebrated my first son's 6th birthday this weekend and it went fantastic. I am not looking to date anyone at the moment. I am focusing on myself."

Since news of the most recent arrest broke, Jenelle's PR Twitter account sent out its first tweet in over a month, simply writing "Jenelle appreciates all the support from her fans!"

Jenelle and Nathan share a 1-year-old son together. Jenelle had been working really hard to clean up her life in the past few years and even recently graduated from technical college and had hoped to go back to school to become a surgical tech. Hopefully this incident doesn't throw her too far off track.

When I Graduate, I Want to Use Music to Change the World

Everyone has a passion in life. Mine is music. I sing and write music, creating my own songs.

I use music as my outlet. It allows me to release my feelings and my thoughts. It can be about anything that I want. Music has always been the one thing that I can rely on to always be there for me, and it's given me comfort since I was little.

My love for music comes from watching people make music as I got older and enjoyed what they were doing. As I have no musically inclined members of my family; this came from celebrities like Hilary Duff and Jesse McCartney. As I got older, I noticed that people like Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber used their music to get in touch with people to make a change in the world and their fans with illnesses and other things.

Their work proved to me that I want to make music when I'm older and use it to get in touch with the world. This showed my dreams to me more clearly.

No matter what your passion is, go for it. Let everything your holding in and out and embrace your work.

Shay Mitchell Has the Closet of Your Dreams

Teen Choice Awards 2015 - Press RoomGet ready to drool...Shay Mitchell's closet is the stuff dreams are made of.

It's so big that it's tough to describe it as just a walk-in closet, considering it's the size of a huge bedroom. According to The Coveteur, who got a glimpse of the closet, it includes a wall-to-wall shoe closet, crazy hat display, "an organizational island with fresh flowers, acrylic trays displaying immaculately-organized jewelry, and floor-to-ceiling shelving displaying greatest hits from Saint Laurent, CΓ©line, CHANEL and Givenchy." We are absolutely swooning.
The Pretty Little Liars star also has a fitness closet that is home to a "few dozen" pairs of sneakers and rows and rows of sunglasses we would die to get our hands on. Not to mention her dozens of pairs of designer shoes that we could stare at all day.

Speaking of which, Shay dished on the first big shoe splurge in her collection, saying, "[My first vintage splurge] was probably my slingback Christian Louboutin shoes. I was so excited when I got them, and I was so upset when I wore them for one night and the whole bottom was ruined. Then I found out that you can actually get the soles re-done, so that it's rubber and it's a little bit easier on them so they don't get ruined. But that was my first big purchase. I was like, 'ahh, I have a pair of Louboutin shoes and I love them!'"

She also talked about her enviable collection of handbags. "I'm a huge fan of bags so I love getting them, but I also have now really fallen in love with finding vintage bags," she said. "Whether they're designer or not, I just like something that you can't go into a store and get."
Shay has already turned her love for fashion into a fitness fashion line, teaming up with Kohl's to launch the Athleisure Collection. To add a "special touch" to it, she puts positive affirmations into all of the pieces she designed. "In the sports bras, I have this quote, 'strong women lift others up,' or 'travel, explore, create,'" she said. "Just different kind of quotes that I feel are really cool because then when you're putting on clothes, you can look at it and that can have a ripple effect on the rest of your day."

Gotta love that.

Here's Ansel Elgort Doing Every Dance Craze Since the 1920's

Let's make one thing very clear. We are really (really REALLY!) glad we are from the generation that gets to call Ansel Elgort one of our resident hotties. However, after seeing this video, we totally think he was born in the wrong decade.

During a behind-the-scenes clip from his Teen Vogue shoot, Ansel did a "Dance Through the Decades" bit where he demonstrated the most popular dance crazes of each time period - while wearing the historically accurate attire.

At the beginning, when he hit us with The Charleston, we were not really sure this whole situation was worth the three-minute time commitment it involved. Tbh, the only thing that kept us around was the fact that he looked so hot. Forget The Charleston, we'd totally sacrifice our computers, cell phones and other modern-day appliances to spend some good old fashioned QT with this:
Fortunately, his hotness did keep us around long enough to enjoy the rest of the video and it was totally worth it, especially when he got to the 1970's. He was all decked out in the obligatory turtleneck, ugly sweater vest and bell bottoms and his moves were poppin'! We know, poppin' wasn't a thing back then, so let's just go with "groovy."

As much as we love Ansel and his noble effort to capture every dance craze, we will admit that he totally failed when he tried to Whip and Nae Nae, but whatever, we didn't hate watching him try!

Zendaya has signed on to judge the 95th anniversary of the Miss America pageant, according to People, joining country star Brett Eldredge, Taya Kayle, author and wife of the late U.S. Navy Seal Chris Kyle, and Olympic snowboarder Amy Purdy on the show.

"It's great to be part of a show that celebrates women who are in college or graduated, and striving to make the world a better place through their chosen platform, ranging from domestic violence and bullying to cancer research and female empowerment, while also embracing beauty and fashion," the K.C. Undercover star said in a statement.

"I remember watching Miss America as a kid, so it's an honor to help celebrate the 95th anniversary of the competition and to help select the next Miss America," she said. We have no doubt Zendaya is going to bring it when she hits the show.

Three more judges - who have yet to be named - will also join Zendaya and the rest of the gang on the show, when it airs live on ABC Sept. 13.

We'll definitely be tuning in.

Well, maybe that's a slight exaggeration, but his 5SOS bandmates totally called him out on his celeb crush and it all went down in the cutest way possible.

When the guys chatted with ET earlier this week, Calum Hood revealed that Luke "writes fan mail," adding, "He actually writes poems as well - 'My Dear Selena.'"

Here's Why There's No Beyonce Interview in Vogue's September Issue

2015 MET Museum Costume Institute Benefit GalaDear Beyonce - I'mma let you finish but, according to a recent New York Times article, Queen Bey hasn't uttered a single word (or tweet) to the media in the past two years. Therefore, she's not in any danger of being hit with a Kanye-style speech interruption, which leaves our threat of a verbal cutoff null and void.

In the Times Fashion & Style piece titled "BeyoncΓ© is Seen but Not Heard," the writer highlights the fact that the "Drunk in Love" singer's Vogue September issue cover didn't include the accompanying interview that typically comes with landing a Vogue cover and the honor also came after two entire years in which Beyonce has paid the media virtual dust. Aside from her nonstop flawlessness, Bey's Vogue cover was a doubly huge deal because she became the first black female musician to be featured on the cover of the fashion publication's most lauded issue. Yet, her media silence persists.

Perhaps Queen Bey wouldn't be called out on her lack of face-to-face interviews if we weren't always smack dab in the middle of an endless stretch of BeyoncΓ© mania (honestly, when are we not?). But the fact that she remains #unbothered about giving face time to a huge fashion mag (or anyone else, for that matter) might ruffle some feathers, but it speaks volumes about the name she's made for herself as an entertainer.

While other celebrities have to constantly keep their foot on the gas in order to propel themselves forward, BeyoncΓ© basically has to wake up (like this), drop albums without warning, post some adorable pics on Instagram and have everyone continue to bow at her manicured feet.

SIGH. This is even more confirmation that being BeyoncΓ© comes with some seriously enviable fringe benefits.

Caitlyn Jenner's Hairstylist Reveals How She Gets Her Locks to Look So Perf

Caitlyn Jenner Attends Culture Club Performance At The Greek TheatreWe are all obsessed with Caitlyn Jenner's hair. It's gorgeous, it has just the right amount of body and color depth and her curls seem to frame her face in a way so perfect it makes us want to throw our own curling irons out the window in surrender.

The good news is that Cait's hairstylist Courtney Nanso is spilling her secrets and her styling strategy doesn't sound all that difficult, although we can certainly let you know tomorrow after we try it!

In an interview with Allure, she explains just how much went into picking the perfect color and style for the 65-year-old and exactly what she does to get her locks looking so gorg.

When they were initially trying to select what would become Cait's signature hairstyle, Courtney says the girls basically did what we all do - tear out magazine pages and text pics of favorite colors and styles. "And it took a few months before I envisioned her being a rich, shiny, gorgeous brunette," she confesses.

All right, so once they got that settled, how does she style her hair so beautifully? "I love doing a big blowout on Cait's hair. I recommend working with three to four different sizes of round brushes. I start at the hairline working in one-inch sections around the entire head-I use the smallest brush first and graduate up a size with each section. I concentrate on blowing the roots upward," she explained.

"I then finish with the biggest brush on the top of her head for maximum volume. I also set every section with Velcro rollers for a minimum of 30 minutes, taking out each roller and lightly back-combing each section to build shape. I always finalize the look by adding volume to the ends with a smoothing brush."

She also gave Cait her own hair kit, for whenever she isn't around to work her magic. Some of the styling tools she gave her are hot rollers, an automatic curling iron (to create loose waves for a daytime look) and all of her fave hair products. " I must say, she does a pretty good job at styling her own hair," she admitted.

We must say, they BOTH do a great job at styling her hair! Seriously, Cait IS hair goals!

2015 Fragrance Foundation AwardsWhat in the world is going on? We're used to Kylie Jenner changing her hair a lot (like ALL the time), but Kendall Jenner has kind of been our rock in this world of changing colors and styles and now she MIGHT have just totally betrayed us.

The brunette beauty has rocked her signature long brown locks for pretty much as long as we can remember. Now, she just threw us all a major curve ball by posting this blonde photo and people are freaking the eff out.

The comments (of which she amassed almost 13,000 within the first hour of posting the photo) range from "Slay Barbie yassssss!" to people begging her to go back to her natural color and everything in between.

The good news for those who can't deal with the color change is that it's most likely a wig. In fact, Kendall has posted a pic of herself with a blonde wig on before and nobody lost their s**t because it was very obvious that she was on set and that the wig was for a photo shoot.

This one is a little more mysterious. She only captioned it "Ken-doll" which we actually thought was super cute. And we think the blonde hair is gorg, so we're cool with it either way.

You do you, Kenny! Whatever you feel like doin'...

WTF?! Mom Dances Her Way Through Labor Pains

For the segment of the population afflicted with two left feet, executing dance moves can be downright tricky. But if an expectant mother can bust a move during labor, then there's hope for those who lack rhythm and coordination on the dance floor.

Instead of morphing into a mild version of Linda Blair in The Exorcist, on Tuesday, Aug. 18, a pregnant Yuki Nishizawa took a decidedly different approach to coping with her labor pains by literally dancing her a*s off in her hospital room at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. In a pair of videos posted to Facebook by her husband Connell Cloyd, Yuki can be seen dressed in an orange gown and sporting a messy bun as she grooves to Cupid's "Cupid Shuffle" and follows up with some equally fancy footwork to the 69 Boyz's "Tootsee Roll."

#SquadGoals: Study Finds That Having Happy Friends Helps Teens Recover From Depression

It's been a long dayThere's no getting around it - depression totally sucks. But a new study finds that reevaluating squad goals can help to prevent or even alleviate the symptoms in American adolescents. In other words, there's scientific evidence to prove that including healthy, or non-depressed people in your inner circle can diminish the effects of depression.

According to Pacific Standard, a study conducted by researchers Edward Hill, Thomas House and Frances Griffiths found that "adolescents with five or more healthy (that is, non-depressed) friends have half the probability of becoming depressed over a six-to-12-month period compared to adolescents with no healthy friends."

In addition to having a preventative impact on depression, the study also emphasized how having healthy companions aids in the healing process. The results state that "adolescents with 10 healthy friends have double the probability of recovering from depressive symptoms over a six-to-12-month period compared to adolescents with three healthy friends."

While the study focuses on adolescents, it seems reasonable that hanging with a happy crew can be just as effective on adults who are grappling with the illness. For example, Cara Delevingne recently revealed that her girlfriend helped her cope with depression and suicidal thoughts. "I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I'm feeling so happy with who I am these days," Cara said.

Changing your mantra from #NoNewFriends to #AllHappyFriends may not sound like the most profound way of pulling yourself out of a depression-fueled rut, but if there's a chance of improving your health and outlook on life, then it's certainly worth a try.

Happy blonde woman showing tamponBorrowing feminine products is totally NBD. Sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, right? But what if, instead of hooking you up with a pad or tampon and sending you on your merry little way, your bestie offered to share a tampon with you?

If the mere thought of that idea sent you into immediate zombie mode, we assure you that this is not a test: Shareable tampons are the real deal.

Created by Kat Thek, Friends Forever Tampons are "two tampons connected by one string." But wait - it gets better. The company's mantra is "Let friendship flow!" Perhaps Kat was inspired by the notion of synchronized menstrual cycles, but one thing's clear: She believes that friends who have their periods together, stay together.

In an interview with The Cut, Kat said, "We guarantee that Friends Forever Tampons will bring you extremely close to your best friend for up to eight hours at a time."

Oh, and if you're having trouble imagining you and your friends becoming tampon-laden BFFs, brace yourselves because the Friends Forever maxi pad is also coming your way soon. In the meantime, the unique two-in-one tampons are only available in New York City.

Well, um, sharing is caring, but we're not sure we want to take it that far.
