Umm...best job ever?!
Netflix is looking to hire new taggers to join their company, which is basically an employee who watches Netflix all day and gets paid for it.
The person that is hired for the job will be responsible for "watching and analyzing films and TV programs that will stream on Netflix in the future." Then, the tagger describes those shows and movies using tags, which are used by Netflix members to sort through the titles and find the films and TV shows that match their tastes.
This is all done from home and the hours are flexible - win, win. The company is looking for someone who is passionate about film and TV and has evidence to back that up, like a degree in film or film history, and/or experience directing, screenwriting, or filmmaking.
Netflix also wants the potential employee to have great organizational skills, to be able to follow-through on projects, to be detail-oriented and have experience with content or asset management systems, among other things.
Here's the catch: They're only looking for taggers in the UK and Ireland. So, for now, this gig is out for those in the States.
