As a celebrity, Ariana Grande knows all too well the criticisms over what she looks like - one misstep with an outfit or the choice to wear her go-to ponytail hairstyle and she faces a wrath of harsh words.
Ariana recently launched into a rant about how "the pressure for girls to always look good is a massive problem," telling Top of the Pops magazine (via MSN Celebrity), "I think there's some stupid high expectation of what girls should look like." Agreed.
She continued, "Girls in school growing up compare themselves to girls they see on the red carpet and in music videos, who have spent hours in hair and make up, and have been Photoshopped and perfected into superstars."
Ariana added, "There's such a superficial standard for women these days and it's such a stupid thing to focus on."
