Media reports ran rampant this morning that Chris Colfer was leaving Glee, after the actor tweeted that he was exiting the show."Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE. Explanations will come shortly...," he tweeted Thursday.
The problem was, Chris didn't tweet about his departure...a hacker did. After the tweet stirred up a ton of chatter on the Twitterverse, Chris's manager told the Hollywood Reporter the Glee star's Twitter account had been hacked and he wasn't leaving the show.
20th Century Fox Television also confirmed that Chris has not been "let go" from the hit Fox episodic, telling the mag in a statement, "We've been alerted that Chris Colfer's Twitter account has been hacked. Rumors of his dismissal from Glee could not be further from the truth. We love Chris and look forward to working with him again this season."
The tweet has since been deleted. Whew.
