Britney Spears and Boyfriend David Lucado Call It Quits?

Rumors are swirling that Britney Spears and longtime boyfriend David Lucado have split. There are a couple of reasons why we wouldn't want this couple calling it quits.

First of all, Britney is the happiest we've seen her in a long time. Like, a really long time. Basically, since the Justin Timberlake days.

Second, Britney breakups never end well. It would be one thing if they were like Taylor Swift breakups and we at least got a good song out of them, but when Britney breaks up, all we get is a sad Britney - and nobody wants that.

Third, he seems to be a really good guy (hey, he passed Britney's dad's full-on background check) and oh yeah, she loves him. "I'm in love...I adore him," she recently told Entertainment Tonight.

Fortunately, GossipCop did some digging and while it's true that Brit has been photographed sans David recently, sources say he's just been "away" and that these two are indeed still an item.
