It looks like Khloe Kardashian had a great time at niece North West's Coachella-themed birthday bash, "Kidchella." The family posted a ton of pics on Instagram and it looks like they went all out for Nori's big day. One photo, in particular, however, didn't sit well with some of the famous fam's fans. There were mini teepees around the yard and in this pic, Khloe is seen posing next to one of them wearing a Native American headdress.
"Ray of clouds. Chirping of birds. Gurgling of water. Granting desire. One with water," she captioned the photo. Fans were quick to express their outrage over Khloe's choice of headwear.
"Since when did ones culture become another persons accessory?" one angry fan wrote. "Headdresses and teepees should not be used as party decorations in the first place! Those of us who disagree with this photo are tired of seeing headdresses, signs of honor and respect in our history and culture, being used as a 'fashion' accessory!" another chimed in.
Among the 5,000 comments, there were plenty of points made on both sides of the argument. As for the reality star herself, she posted this quote yesterday, which may or may not have been related to the whole controversy. "You're still going to get criticized, so you might as well do whatever the f**k you want."
Khloe isn't the first celeb to be criticized for wearing a headdress. Singer Pharrell came under fire when he wore one for the July cover of Elle UK.
