Jeremy Meeks has become a star (of sorts) while he's been behind bars.
After thousands of women went crazy over his mugshot when they caught a glimpse of his steely blue eyes and chiseled jawline on Facebook, people started photoshopping themselves into pictures with him and even posting memes with the hashtag #feloncrushfriday as a result.
In one, Jeremy's mugshot was photoshopped onto the body of a Calvin Klein model, and in another he's in a faux Dolce and Gabbana ad.
So, we suppose it would only make sense that he would do an interview about it behind bars...through glass...on a telephone.
After an ABC 10 news reporter told him about his internet fame, Jeremy said, "Well I appreciate that, but I just want them to know this is really not me. I'm not some kingpin." According to Jeremy, although police "found a pistol in his trunk" and he's been charged with street terrorism, he's no longer a gangster (For the record Jeremy previously spent nine years in prison for grand theft, according to the outlet).
The Stockton Police Department arrested several gang members in a sweep Wednesday and posted their mugshots to Facebook Thursday. That's when Jeremy's photo started catching attention with ladies writing ""Omg come to mama" and "Hottttt" in the comments.
Sorry though ladies, Jeremy is taken.
"I just visited my wife and she was like it blew up on Facebook," he told the reporter. He also has a son.
Those words just broke hearts across America.
