Still, it's not always something that is easy to watch, even for the family members. It's definitely not something you'd want to watch while you're eating your lasagna at dinner time, which hasn't ever really been a problem (unless you happen to catch the wrong 30 seconds of a TLC show).
Now, you might have to work a little harder if you don't want to see that during your dinner because Lifetime has a brand new show and that's basically the premise of it - but there's a twist.
Born in the Wild will be exactly what it sounds like. A reality series featuring women giving birth in the great outdoors. The show was inspired by a YouTube video called Birth in Nature that received over 23 million views and shows (in graphic detail) a woman giving birth outside near a creek.
Obviously, the show has caused a lot of controversy not only for the very mature content it will be bringing into our living rooms, but for the fact that there will be no medical assistance. Apparently, there will be an emergency professional on standby and they will be close to a hospital, but some people think that's not enough.
Since the show was announced on Wednesday, the Internet has been buzzing with arguments for and against both the show itself and the idea of giving birth outside of a hospital.
