5 Seconds of Summer are blowing up - their kickass Billboard Music Awards performance definitely got plenty of attention, plus opening for One Direction isn't too shabby a gig either. And Liam Payne, for one, is jealous.Excuse us? Liam, you do know you're in the biggest boyband in the world, working on a massive world tour, right? Okay, good. Just wanted to give a reality check in case you had lost sight of your massive fame.
Turns out, Liam is jealous of 5SOS because of their talent (again, reality check, Liam and the 1D guys are incredibly talented), but Liam is giving them a huge seal of approval, telling The Sunday Telegraph (via UnrealityTV): "They are f**king great musicians. I am a bit jealous of them. I am working on learning to play now but I wish I had put the time in like they did when they were kids."
He added, "They are so massive right now, It's huge getting to play stadiums at their age. It couldn't happen to a nicer band." He offered up his support of the band on Twitter ahead of the Billboard Music Awards, tweeting: "Tune in to the @OfficialBBMAs tonight to see our mates @5SOS performing!"
Also in 5SOS' corner? Niall Horan, who wished them well before their performance, tweeting: "Wanna say goodluck to our boys @5SOS , who are performing at the @OfficialBBMAs tonight! Enjoy it! see ya in Dublin boys!"
Harry Styles took to Twitter to share the 5SOS love too, tweeting: "@5SOS killing it at the @OfficialBBMAs ...they're all so handsome. And sleeveless."
