Team Blake's Cassadee Pope survived another elimination on The Voice this week and is now one of this season's Top 10 finalists! Cassadee's heartfelt performance of Kelly Clarkson's "Behind These Hazel Eyes" blew the judges and voters away, leaving her one of the two remaining members of Blake Shelton's team in the competition. She may have a huge newfound television following, but we were fans of Cassadee the solo artist way before she started killin' it on The Voice! The former Hey Monday lead singer stopped by Cambio to talk about her hopes for solo success (above) way back in February, shortly after her pop rock band announced their hiatus.
It came as no surprise to us when Cassadee performed Avril Lavigne's "My Happy Ending" last week on The Voice. In our interview, Cassadee named Avril, along with Katy Perry, as a musical inspiration!
Cassadee also revealed to Cambio that even though she'd love to have a song on pop radio, she will always have a rock edge. Cassadee's rock 'n roll side has definitely shone through on the show. She even showed off her variety of musical talents by busting out her cheetah-print guitar during her performance this week. We can't wait to see which song Cassadee will perform next.
