One Direction does their best to keep fans updated on Twitter, but did you know a couple of them have actually created fake accounts?
Why?
Harry Styles and Niall Horan go undercover with fake accounts to talk to their fans, without them even knowing who they are talking to!
Think of it this way--the 1D guys are way too famous to use their actual identities to make contact with fans. It would be Twitter insanity.
Instead, they take to their aliases to find out more about fans and what they like about the band.

An insider told Daily Star (via Sugarscape.com), "Harry and Niall like to get personal with the fans, but it's hard to talk one-on-one with them without being cyber-mobbed. So in the last few months they've started using pseudonyms to befriend their fans on Twitter. They have no idea the strangers they're talking to are actually their idols."

The source added, "They find out what fans enjoy most at the gigs and which songs they like and don't like. It's also a good place to hear what the latest rumors are. They say it helps them kill time as well when they're waiting in hotels and airports around the world. Harry does it the most. He loves finding out what the fans really think."
Do you think it's cool they go undercover... or is it sneaky?
