The Yeezus rapper, who once did a sneaker collaboration with the fashion house, urges customers not to buy Louis Vuitton because they wouldn't meet with himWe hope Kim Kardashian didn't have anything from Louis Vuitton on her Christmas list, because her boyfriend Kanye West says he's not buying anything from the fashion house until January and neither should anyone else.Although the Yeezus rapper has collaborated with them for a sneaker line in the past, he's now urging everyone to boycott them because of the vice president of LV refused to meet with him.
During an interview with 92.3 NOW radio in NYC, Kanye explained his stance.
"While I was out in Paris, I wanted to meet with the head of Louis Vuitton," Yeezy said. "He said, 'I don't understand why I would need to meet with you.' I said, 'Let me explain to you why you need to meet with me.' Everybody in New York City right now, don't buy any Louis Vuitton until after January. Now do you wanna meet with me?"
So let's get this straight...Kanye thinks by him telling people not to buy the line, sales will drop so much by January that they'll suddenly agree to meet with him?
"Influence," he continued. "They think that I don't realize my power."
We're not holding our breath, but what do you think? Will people stop buying LV because Kanye said to?
