Lady Gaga is a longtime friend of Elton Johns, which is why his recent quote about the pop star was a bit troubling. Elton claims that Lady Gaga is in "a dangerous place"...Elton John and Lady Gaga are longtime friends. In fact, Gaga is even the Godmother to both of his sons, Elijah and Zachary. That being the case, it was pretty shocking when Mother Monster's famous friend spoke out against the pop star, saying she is in "a dangerous place," as she is now essentially surrounded by yes-men.
"...There are times when you have to listen," he told The Australian. "When your persona begins to take over your music and becomes more important, you enter a dangerous place. Once you have people around you who don't question you, you're in a dangerous place."
He also said that he'd like to be able to talk to her, but she isn't even taking his calls--which probably is much less likely after this interview.
Elton also had some harsh words for Miley Cyrus, saying she is "a meltdown waiting to happen."
Ouch!
It's kind of strange that two of Gaga's former good friends have now publicly spoken out against her, with Perez Hilton being the first and now Elton John. Do you think Gaga is isolating herself or do you think it's just a coincidence?
