Kanye West has been formally charged stemming from an incident earlier this summer where he had an altercation with a paparazzo at Los Angeles International Airport.Kanye West has just been formally charged as a result of his altercation with a paparazzo at Los Angeles International Airport on July 19. In the days prior to the incident, the rapper had nicely and not-so-nicely asked paps to not talk to him, not ask him any questions and not to talk again, ever...to anyone.
So, when a paparazzo seemed to be in violation of all of those requests--all at once--Kanye lost his cool.
Kanye charged at the photog and a small scuffle ensued. Paramedics and police were called and the pap went to the hospital.
Add famed attorney Gloria Allred to team paparazzo and Kanye has now been formally charged with criminal battery and attempted grand theft, according to TMZ.
His arraignment is set for October 10th and if Kanye is found guilty of both misdemeanors, he could be facing up to a year in jail!
