Watch Rion Paige's 'X Factor' audition, where the 13-year-old, who suffers from a disability, blew away the judges and audience singing Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away." Simon Cowell compared Rion to Carrie and she even got a tweet from Carrie!Rion Paige is truly an amazing talent that the world got to see on last night's X Factor premiere--even earning comparisons to Carrie Underwood.
Rion, who is 13 years old, talked about her disability (arthrogryposis multiplex congenita) that has left her with limited use of her hands, in addition to blindness in her right eye.
Her passion is obviously music, as she performed Carrie's "Blown Away" and earned a standing ovation and rave reviews.
Demi Lovato said, "Rion, I'm just so impressed right now, and I cannot believe the struggles that you've had and how positive you are."
Simon Cowell gave her top praise (not easy with Simon!), saying, "I think you're literally extraordinary. I really do."
He added, "I remember the day I met Carrie Underwood and I remember predicting this girl was going to go on and do special things with her life....and I'm gonna say the same thing about you, Rion."
Not only did she get the X Factor judges' seal of approval, Carrie herself took to Twitter to share Rion's audition video, writing, "Very cool! What a beautiful young lady! Sing it, Rion!"
Rion tweeted: "@carrieunderwood thanks for noticing the video! It means so much to me!"
