"The older generation is pretty traditional and strict about their universe," said Alice Eve, "but the new guys are kind of our guys--so I like them too." Simon Pegg added, "There's a whole new group who found it through perhaps J.J.'s Star Trek iteration of the story. There will be kids who've never seen the original series and I really sincerely hope they go back and watch it because it's essential viewing."
Director J.J. Abrams revealed his favorite thing about being a part of the Star Trek world. "I've come to appreciate the stuff that so many of my friends have loved for so long--the characters, their dynamic and the sense of adventure. The idea of actually traveling to the unknown is a really cool idea that the series always embraced that I've just come to appreciate."
Trekkies are known to be very dedicated, but besides Star Trek, which franchises are these celebs fans of? "I'm a huge James Bond fan!" said Nasneen Contractor. "When I decided to be an actress very young, it was to be a Bond girl." Joseph Gatt said Star Wars and, "If they make another Indiana Jones movie--I'd really love to be in that."
