The two met on the set of Gaga's "You and I" video (which was ironically a song written for then-boyfriend Luc Carl) and have been together ever since.
Of course, Taylor has a busy career himself, but with Gaga being one of the most in-demand singers right now, it's hard to believe she has time for any kind of personal life outside of work.
Plus, she is intensely committed to her craft and is probably pretty consumed with writing and creating even during her downtime.
This is great for Gaga's fans, because she continues not only to consistently deliver, but to outdo herself each and every time.
But, is Gaga's commitment to her craft getting in the way of her relationship?
In a recent tweet, Mother Monster hinted that maybe her busy schedule is causing her relationship to suffer a little bit, saying, "#iwannabewithu is also about following my dreams but falling in love at the same time. Wish I could have both, but i can't on the road."
She then tweeted some lyrics to the song, writing, "'i'll keep on singin' for a livin' but I wanna be in love. & I wanna be with you. Wish I could split myself in two," confessing that "whether I'm on tour or at home, I always have to say goodbye to someone I love #LYRICFACT #ilikedoublemeanings."
Hopefully her heartache is only from having to say goodbye and not that her career is causing her relationship to crumble.
After all, absence makes the heart grow fonder, right? At least that's what they say...whoever "they" are...
