'Glee' star Dianna Agron will not return to the series for the special tribute episode for Cory Monteith. Read what Dianna said about being snubbed from the memorial episode and her thoughts on Cory's tragic death. We'll miss Quinn!
As Glee fans brace themselves for the emotional Cory Monteith tribute episode, be aware of one spoiler: Dianna Agron won't appear in the episode.Dianna, who plays Quinn on the series, was not asked to be part of the special episode, the New York Post reports.
During an interview for her movie The Family, Dianna was asked about returning for the episode and it turns out, she's not sure she'll even be on the show this season. At all.
She explained, "I think moving on might be the wrong choice of words because [Glee] is always going to be a part of me and with me and I would always go back."
She added, "So it's not necessarily about a departure. It's about what it's imparted in me and what it's given me."
It's interesting to note that some of the show's original faces will be in Cory's tribute episode, including Mark Salling, Jayma Mays, and Amber Riley, as well as Harry Schum Jr., Dot-Marie Jones, and Mike O'Malley.
Dianna did comment on Cory's tragic death, saying, "This year I've had some of the biggest cries of my entire life," adding, "It hasn't completely hit in yet."
She explained, "It's one of the strangest things that has ever happened to me. I don't know how people do it over and over again throughout their lives. It just makes you take a new lease out on life and look at things a little bit differently."
Of her co-star, she said, "He was truly one of the most wonderful people I've ever met in my entire life, and that's something that everybody can say about him, you know?"
Glee's third episode will focus on Cory's death, with his character, Finn, dying on the show.
Glee's season 5 premiere airs Thursday, September 26 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
