But, whatever, she IS Selena Gomez and on top of the world right, so how did she handle and ignore all the negativity?
A source close to Sel reportedly told Hollywoodlife.com, "Sure she would love to get great reviews on all of her work but she has gotten to a point in her career where she does the work she wants to do and doesn't really focus on what critics will say about it."
"She isn't really thinking about it, nor will she put much thought into it."
That's the way to be! Pretty much every celebrity has gone through a flop before, so who cares?! And being an artist IS about doing what you want!
So how horrible were the flick's reviews? Uh, pretty bad. Check out a few below.
"It may be the dumbest movie released this summer," Bilge Ebiri of Vulture reported.
"The damage to your brain while watching it is incalculable," Peter Travers from Rolling Stone said.
