Katy Perry is apparently obsessed with her oral hygiene. The singer reportedly brushes her teeth every time she uses the restroom and visits the dentist before every red carpet event.Every time you see Katy Perry on a red carpet, it means she has just had another 2-hour trip to the dentist.Apparently, Katy is so terrified of having bad teeth that she visits the dentist before every single red carpet to get laser whitening on her teeth, Yahoo OMG! is reporting.
"Her family could never afford to take her to the dentist when she was growing up and she had in excess of 13 cavities, which gave her a lifelong fear of bad teeth," a source told the site.
Their source also revealed that Katy's teeth obsession caused tension in her marriage to Russell Brand after he reportedly mocked her for brushing her teeth so frequently (she brushes them every time she uses the restroom with specially-made toothbrushes), adding that she "is always thinking about her teeth."
Hopefully John Mayer doesn't mind Katy's over-enthusiastic approach to her oral hygiene.
