Amanda was supposed to appear in court today at the hearing, but doctors at the hospital where the 27-year-old has been staying for the past two weeks decided she wasn't well enough to go. They also were able to extend her hold at the hospital for 30 more days.
According to TMZ, an extended hold such as Amanda's can only happen if a patient is "gravely disabled as a result of a mental disorder."
Amanda had reportedly been showing signs of improvement thanks to a medicine cocktail her doctors prescribed, but apparently hasn't made enough progress to be released.
She's been hospitalized on a mandatory hold since July 22, when she set a fire in a random person's driveway.
