Simon Cowell is breaking his silence on the baby bombshell that he's expecting a child with his friend's wife Lauren Silverman.During an X-Factor press conference at the TCA tour in LA, Simon was asked if he was surprised by the baby news.
"Sorry," Simon replied. "Unfortunately, I have to keep this private for the moment. It's just one of those things, but thank you anyway."
It makes sense that Simon's staying mum considering the fact that Lauren is still married to Andrew Silverman, who accused Simon of adultery in the divorce documents he filed this week. The couple's marriage has reportedly been on the rocks for awhile.
"There are a lot of things I will eventually clear up when the time is right," Simon told reporters. "I have to be really sensitive here because there are a lot of people's feelings involved."
Clearly, his X-Factor cohort Demi Lovato has Simon's back too.
When a reporter asked the female judges what kind of dad he'd be during the same press conference, Demi shot back: "No comment!"
