Amanda Bynes' parents were in court on Friday afternoon trying to secure a temporary conservatorship over her troubled daughter. While a conservatorship has not been granted, pending other proceedings, some disturbing details about Amanda's alleged state of mind were revealed during the hearing.
According to the declaration, obtained by E! News, Amanda's parents reveal that their daughter "has profound issues with her body image and is obsessed with the idea that she (and others) are ugly."
We've definitely seen evidence of both of the above on Amanda's Twitter feed.
The documents continue to say that Amanda has even encouraged her own mother to undergo cosmetic surgeries.
What's even more disturbing is that they claim Amanda has become paranoid, with a crippling fear that cameras are constantly watching her and that she has tried to "cover smoke alarms with towels, tape windows shut and cover her car's dashboard with cardboard and tape."
Photos obtained by TMZ from the room Amanda recently stayed in at the Ritz-Carlton seem to back that claim as they show a smoke alarm that Amanda had allegedly removed from the ceiling.
While Amanda is still in a psychiatric facility in California and won't find out her fate until August 9, we hope that whatever decision is made has Amanda's best interests in mind and we continue to with her well in her recovery.
