We recently met Andrew Papas from one of New Zealand's up and coming acts, Titanium. Check out five things to know about the six-guy band.

We love meeting new talent!

And we had not met any boy banders from New Zealand until Andrew Papas (far left) from the up-and-coming group, Titanium, stopped by.

Andrew spoke on behalf of his five fellow band mates (Zac Taylor, Jordi Webber, Shaquile Paranihi-Nguama, Haydn Linsley and T.K Paradza). Here are 5 things you need to know about these guys.

5: They became a band in 2012 after winning a local radio station's competition in Auckland, New Zealand. "They did auditions all over the country," says Andrew. They brought it down to 10 guys and we did like a boy band boot camp. Out of those they chose the final six."

4: They might be a pop boy band, but they try to stay away from the clichés. "I would call it pop definitely, but a little bit of R&B edge to it. It's not that bubble gum, happy sound. We use guitars and stuff like that to make it more home grown."

3: Titanium opened for Hot Chelle Rae when they headlined in New Zealand. "That was huge! One of our biggest performances and we just finished our tour," says Andrew. And it sounds like HCR was very friendly. "They had this rule that the door was always open if we wanted to go hang out with them."

2: They are also signed to the same management as Kendall Schmidt and Logan Henderson from BTR. "They [Kendall and Logan] wrote a song for us. We haven't met them yet, but we've spoken to them on Skype. We really love the song and it's really cool. It's a little bit more upbeat."

1: And even though their first single is titled "Come On Home," the boys can't wait to make their U.S debut. "We don't just want to stay in New Zealand. We need to grow and have more challenges. That's what coming to America would be all about."
