Although the premiere seemed to do pretty well in the ratings, it might have been because of the North West photo fake out that the show posted on their Facebook page that morning. In the pic, Kris was holding a baby and the caption read, "You never know who will stop by our show today #WatchKris."
Of course, many people assumed the baby was Kim Kardashian's daughter and presumably, many of them tuned in hoping to catch the first glimpse of Kris' granddaughter.
Unfortunately for fans, the baby belonged to someone on the show's crew and neither Kim or North actually made an appearance.
After the photo faux pas, it seems that things took a turn for the worse. Critics held nothing back in their harsh reviews of Kris' debut hosting effort, with comments ranging from "unwatchable" and "horrible" to "total idiocy."
According to New York Post columnist Linda Stassi, Kris actually tried to bribe her into giving the show a better review.
In a recent article, she claims that, following her scathing review of the show, Kris sent her a $325 sterling silver Tiffany pen and a dozen Magnolia cupcakes as a "bribe." The gift apparently included a note saying maybe she could use the pen to write a "better review next time."
"So, Kris, let's get something straight right here, right now. I cannot be bought - for a pen," she retorted. "A pen and pencil set, maybe - but just a pen? To improve your rating, Mrs. Kardashian-Jenner, either you somehow become interesting, which given the data seems as likely as the pope turning Jewish, or you do better with the bribes."
Ouch! It seems like that bribe definitely backfired!
Have you been watching Kris' new show? What do you think of it?
