Blake Shelton may be a big time country star, but that doesn't mean he's immune from being embarrassed by his mom!The country crooner's mother Dorothy recently spoke with Men's Journal and revealed some interesting information about her son.
For starters, Blake loved collecting various critters and creatures...so much so that his childhood nickname was "Toad," and she actually still calls him that sometimes!
"We had to drag him into the house at night," she said. "He loved all animals: grasshoppers, locusts, lizards, snakes, worms. One time I had a flyswatter and I killed a fly, and he cried."
Also in the interview, we learned that Blake's mom owned a beauty salon when he was younger and he used to stop by to flirt with the female customers, although his sister reveals that he wasn't exactly as smooth as he thought he was. "He was a little chubbier, he had a mullet going on, glasses," she revealed. "He didn't have too much success."
If only any of those girls had any idea who that awkward boy would become!
