John Mayer was performing at Summerfest 2013 and dedicated the last song of his set "A Face to Call Home" to his girlfriend Katy Perry. Who says John Mayer isn't romantic? The singer, who usually only talks about his love life after a relationship has fizzled, spilled his guts on stage about girlfriend Katy Perry at Summerfest.
Before the last song of his set, "A Face to Call Home," John stopped to address the audience.
During the romantic rant, John talked about how he was just getting to know a girl and was apprehensive about having his throat surgery because he knew he wasn't going to be able to talk to her.
"She was more incredible than I ever thought," he explained about how she helped him recover from the ordeal. "She would order for me with the waiter. Or I would whisper in her ear and she would tell people 'it's nice to meet you, he says.'"
He then talks about being in Montana and not having good enough internet service to communicate well and how patient "this girl" was to put up with all of that.
If there was any question about whether or not John was talking about Katy, he cleared it up at the end, saying, "this is a long time coming for both of us-and I want to dedicate this next song to my Katy, who is my face to call home."
Aww...how sweet is that?!
