'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' continues to entertain fans, even in its eighth season. But, is the "reality show" really a scripted series that follows story lines and a plot? %VIRTUAL-Gallery-187237%Have Kim, Kourtney, Khloé and the rest of the Kardashian clan been pulling one over on us this whole time?!
According to various reports, when we sit back every Sunday to watch any one of the famous family's shows, we're basically tuning in to a standard sitcom.
In fact, during Kris Humphires' deposition in his divorce case with Kim Kardashian, he admitted that some scenes were "scripted" and even that his proposal to Kim had to be re-shot. Also, while Kim was in the back of a car telling momager Kris Jenner that she and Kris Humphries were having marriage problems, the show made it look like it was shot in Dubai in October, when it was actually shot in an LA studio in December, AFTER Kim had already filed for divorce.
As for this week's episode of KUWTK, where Kris and Khloé teepee Kim's house and she threatens to call the cops, RadarOnline says it was all scripted.
"On the upcoming show, Kris decides to take Khloé out for the night to cheer up her daughter. They got wasted drunk and went over to Kim's, which all seemed very spontaneous, but was planned well in advance with Kim fully aware before the prank went down that her house was going to be covered with toilet paper," their source says. "She was never going to call the cops on her mom and Khloé. It's just insulting that they are trying to pass this off as how they really live their lives."
They also said that the premise of the show, with Khloé feeling left out, was scripted. "First, Kim and Kourtney have gone out of their way to NOT ignore Khloé because they know she is struggling to get pregnant," they said. "Of course, what is seen on camera is extremely different from what is going on off camera...it makes for better television if Khloé feels left out."
Sure, having scripts would make the show more interesting, but doesn't that defeat the purpose of a "reality" show?
Do you care whether or not KUWTK is scripted? Would you like the show either way?
