Pregnant actress Jennifer Love Hewitt has decided to sign off of Twitter permanently due to "negativity" and people threatening their own well-being, saying that "life should be filled with positivity and holding each other up."Jennifer Love Hewitt's more than 600,000 Twitter followers are going to be pretty bummed this morning when they wake up and see that the pregnant actress has parted ways with the popular social media site.Prior to her departure, Jennifer tweeted the following message:
"Unfortunately with all the negativity people choose to send on twitter as well as threats to there [sic] own well being. I'm sad to say twitter is no longer for me. I have enjoyed all the kindness and love that came my way, as well as support. But this break is needed. Life should be filled with positivity and holding each other up, not making threats and sending bad vibes. To those of you who made it a joy Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Being newly engaged, with a baby on the way, we can completely understand why Jennifer wants to make sure she is only surrounded by positivity at this important junction in her life.
It's unfortunate that some people are using social media sites to bully people, but this certainly isn't the first and sadly won't be the last time we have seen something like this.
Paris Jackson was reportedly being bullied on her Facebook page and Kim Kardashian had tons of haters tweeting awful things about her body during her pregnancy. Even Justin Bieber receives tons of hateful tweets every single day.
Do you think bullies should be banned from Twitter?
