'Teen Mom' star Catelynn Lowell is apologizing for remarks that she made on Twitter, where she seemed to be making fun of a child with special needs.Former Teen Mom star Catelynn Lowell, who is currently starring on Couples Therapy with fiance Tyler Baltierra, landed herself in some serious hot water this week. The 21-year-old reality star posted a Tweet on Thursday with the caption, "Hahaha crazy kid dancing/rapping around my house in the rain" and a link to a video of the boy.
After one fan replied, "That's my brother and he has special needs," Catelynn's fans went crazy and attacked her insensitivity questioning how she could ever mock a special needs child like that.
Catelynn obviously felt awful about what she had done and wrote, "Gosh people can take things soooo wrong like come on! I was not making fun of him! I even have a cuz w/ special needs like come on!" before deleting the tweet in question.
She also said she has a cousin with Down syndrome and "would never make fun of them [people with special needs] that's so rude."
Still feeling bad that she had hurt anyone's feelings, Catelynn took to her Twitter yet again to issue another apology:
"If I offended anyone I'm sorry. I didn't know that boy had special needs. I also have a cuz w/ special needs and I would never bully any1 With special needs i@ truly sorry and I have learned a valuable lesson. I did not mean any harm and I'm truly sorry."
That definitely sounds more like the Catelynn we know.
Do you forgive Catelynn for what she did or do you think she was being insensitive?
