How did Holland Roden get the acting bug? She fell in love with it when she took an adult acting class as a teen. Check out what else the Teen Wolf star revealed to us during our interview!Holland Roden is getting candid.During some downtime from Teen Wolf, the actress dished to us about her hometown, how she fell in love with acting and what she really wanted to be when she was growing up.
The 26-year-old MTV star, who started acting during her sophomore year in college, said she had a particular profession on the brain when she was younger.
"I wanted to be an astronaut!," she quipped.
But, when she took a random acting class as a teenager she eventually fell in love with the arts.
"I loved acting...I never thought I would do it for a living," Holland, who plays Lydia Martin on the show, told us. "I went to this adult acting class at 16 and loved it, and the acting coach said 'you should try this professionally,' and that's sort of where I got the bug a little bit."
Holland said her first acting role was in a film about her hometown of Dallas, in which she played a head debutante.
So, what does she miss most about her old stomping grounds?
"My friends...I'm still friends with all of my childhood friends," she said. "And JD's Chippery in Center Plaza in University Park of Dallas, Texas. They have the best freakin' cookies and the best food."
And while she was in the midst of our Q&A, the budding fashionista also told us what her biggest pet peeves are.
"Dr. Pepper in a plastic bottle, rhinestones, slow drivers and bad self tanner," she replied.
