Carrie Underwood has a special 2013 CMT Awards tribute for the Oklahoma tornado victims--a performance of her song "See You Again."
In a new interview, Carrie talked about what viewers can expect from the performance. Get your tissues handy.
She explained, "We really wanted to do something really special with the song," adding, "The song itself, I think, is really beautiful. I've heard the most incredible stories about how it's affected different people and what it means to them."
Carrie said her new single was a perfect fit, noting, "Right now I feel like it's very timely. There seem to be a lot of things happening where I'm from especially. I'm from Oklahoma."
She added, "I really wanted to do kind of a tribute to them."
Look for an emotional performance from Carrie that includes screens with images from Oklahoma behind her as well as a choir backing her up.
Carrie recently donated $1 million to the Red Cross to help the victims.
