Blake Shelton and wife Miranda Lambert joined forces during The Voice Top 10 Live Eliminations show to perform a tribute to the victims of the tornado in Oklahoma, the state where Blake was born and raised. During The Voice Top 10 Live Performances, coach Blake Shelton was visibly shaken after having just heard the news about his home state being devastated by a tornado.He admitted that it was hard to come on stage and have fun while such a great tragedy was unfolding back at home.
When the show returned the next night for the Live Eliminations, Blake and his wife Miranda Lambert performed a touching tribute to all of those affected by the disaster.
The duo performed the song "Over You" while a phone number and website that fans could utilize to send money to the victims was displayed at the bottom.
The somber song was a great way for the country couple to show that their hearts were heavy and that everyone in Oklahoma was in their thoughts before Blake joined his fellow judges on stage for the show.
As a very distant secondary point, it really showed the solidarity of Blake and Miranda as a couple during a time of such intense scrutiny about their relationship.
