We've seen some of our favorite artists take the stage at the Billboard Music Awards, and they've given us chills, made us swoon and got us up on our feet.
This year, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Lil' Wayne and more are set to perform at the show, hosted by Tracy Morgan.
But, before the Billboard Music Awards kicks off May 19 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel, we took a look back at five of the best performances on the show since its inception in 1989.
1) Beyoncé: Run the World (Girls), 2011
If anyone had any question about who ran the world that year, Beyoncé answered it. The superstar singer *rocked* the Billboard Music Awards in 2011, popping on to stage with a high-energy performance, killer dance moves and a hot costume that showed off her svelte body.
Beyoncé later revealed she was pregnant during this performance on her documentary, Life Is But a Dream.
2) Britney Spears: Slave 4 U, 2001
Britney Spears was on top of her game back in 2001, and we couldn't get enough of her.
The super star singer wowed the crowd at the Billboard Music Awards that year, writhing out onto a stage in the middle of a pool in a black crop top, top hat and slinky, body hugging pants. Watch it here!
3) John Legend and Jordin Sparks: Whitney Houston Tribute, 2012
Following Whitney Houston's tragic passing in Feb. 2012, John Legend and Jordin Sparks gave a tribute to the legendary singer three months later, performing "Greatest Love of All" and "I Will Always Love You." It made us think about the times the pop icon blew us away on the Billboard stage, including her rousing performance of "I Have Nothing," back in 1993. Check it out here!
4) Mariah Carey: I Still Believe,1999
There was no doubt back in 1999 that Mariah Carey was a star, but when the Grammy winner performed "I Still Believe" that year at the Billboard Music Awards, she proved she was a powerhouse that was here to stay. Watch it here!
5) Justin Bieber: Boyfriend, 2012
Justin Bieber hit the stage with a bit of swag in his step when he performed "Boyfriend" at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. The pop star danced his heart out and made the ladies in the audience swoon (and scream). Check it out Watch it here!
