Keith Urban tells us what he thought of the final two's performances on 'American Idol'! Who are you rooting for to win?Did you watch the final performances? It's finale week at American Idol, and the two finalists left it all on the stage! After the show we got to ask Idol judge Keith Urban, guest performer Carly Rae Jepsen and the two finalists, Kree Harrison and Candice Glover, how they felt about the night.
"Candice has been doing exceptional performances the last few weeks," said Keith, "But I really feel like Kree stepped it up."
Carly, who actually was on Canadian Idol, shared her thoughts too. "Both of these girls are very passionate about music," she said. "Kree's got a cool country element to her. And Candice, every word that she says is milk and honey and I love it."
With millions of people watching, we don't blame the girls for being nervous! "I have to breathe and tell myself backstage that it's okay," Candice told us of her pre-performance ritual. "On stage I look really confident, but really I'm dying up here."
Kree has had her insecurities too when it comes to emotional songs. "I didn't want to get to the point where I couldn't handle the lyrics," Kree told us. "But I found a happy medium with connecting and showing your heart through your lyrics."
Keith points out how the two girls are completely different but share similarities. "They sing from a real place," he said. They sing because they need to sing, not cause they want to be famous."
Don't forget to catch American Idol's season finale tonight!
