Bands, bands and more bands!
We checked out the full lineup for this year's Bonnaroo music festival and while we love all of the acts, we also noticed that some of them have really cool names! We chose our five favorites names and learned a little about them.
The Sheepdogs is a Canadian rock band from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. These four guys are working on their new album and even got The Black Key's drummer, Patrick Carney, to produce it!
Sticking with the animal theme, Sea Wolf is an indie folk band from Los Angeles. There are five guys in the group, but leading the pack is Alex Brown Church. The band's name came from Jack London's 1904 novel "The Sea-Wolf."
Another interesting name is Portugal. The Man. They are an American rock band based in Portland, Ore. We're not sure where their name came from, but we do know it has to do with a David Bowie reference. We think the period after "Portugal," really makes a statement.
Walk the Moon is an indie rock band based in Cincinnati, Ohio. We think it's cool that the four guys got their band name from The Police's "Walking On the Moon." It's a great song!
One name that jumped out to us was The Stepkids. They are an American psychedelic soul band that performs live with kaleidoscopic projections. How awesome is that? We bet these three guys have a blast every show!
