Prince Harry was previously set to attend the London race before the bombings happened and told BBC News that missing the marathon was "never an option".
"The way that Boston has dealt with it has been absolutely remarkable," he added. "Everyone comes together."
Harry on was hand at the finish line to cheer on runners along with Sir Richard Branson.
CNN reports that there was 30 seconds of silence in memory of Boston prior to the London race.
Both suspects in the Boston bombings were caught by the police Thursday night. One was killed and the other is currently in the hospital.
