Katy Perry is being sued by GHD, a British hair company, because her popularity in Europe has plummeted.After she served as a spokesperson for the brand for two years, Katy's agent claimed that they owed her $2 million based on a verbal agreement they had allegedly made to renew her contract....and that's when the relationship with the beauty company turned ugly.
Jamella, the owners of GHD, heard about Katy's plan to sue them and filed a pre-emptive lawsuit against the singer instead.
They also added insult to injury, saying that first of all, they never made such an agreement and second of all, they dropped Katy from the campaign because her popularity in Europe had taken a nosedive.

Katy's rep was furious about the insulting statements and said that "Jamella's attempt to embarrass Ms. Perry by including defamatory statements about her in a public filing is shameful. They're backing out of the deal because of an ownership change, and just throwing shade to hide their bad faith."
