NBC is reportedly considering doing an all-kids version of The Voice that would feature contestants between ages 8-14.
Fox tried it with American Idol when they did American Juniors, but the show didn't do well in the ratings and was canceled after only one season.
The Voice has already tried a junior version in Germany, Holland and Finland and the show has been successful, so producers do have some reason to believe it would be a hit in the U.S.
A source tells the New York Post that casting calls for the kids' version of The Voice were announced last week in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas, with the hopes of filming the show at the same time as the upcoming fifth season.
Unfortunately, production was put on hold because there wasn't enough time to put it all together.
Looks like a kids' spin-off of The Voice wouldn't become a possibility until season six of the regular show.
Would you want to watch a junior version of The Voice or do you like it just the way it is?
