We enjoyed all six performances on The Voice last night. Sarah Simmons is a vocal powerhouse, Josiah Hawley did an impressive Adam Levine cover and Tawnya Reynolds sang with some serious conviction.
However, we can only pick one favorite from last night's show.
So, after much careful consideration and hours of deliberation, our award goes to...Midas Whale!
During their background piece, we didn't quite know what to make of them. Their name sounded a little weird and they said they were going to be playing folk music, which isn't exactly the most popular song style.
We got to see the folk singers' funny side when they explained how they got their name (Jon asked Ryan if he wanted to do a duo with him and he said "might as well") and we were immediately intrigued.
However, when Ryan explained that he was a geologist by profession, the expectation level took a nosedive.
But when those two Idaho boys stepped on stage and played their fun and funky folk song, everybody wanted to dance! The judges were all jammin' in their seats, the audience was on their feet and we had that crazy song stuck in our head for the rest of the night!
Adam is the lucky judge who got to add these two to his team and we can't wait to see what they'll do next.
