If you ever wondered what the story behind Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles' matching Pingu tattoos was, wonder no more.

Ed explains all in this MTV video, noting that he has the character inked on his arm, while Harry has the word "Pingu" tattooed under his arm.

Ed shares, "I got that with Harry Styles...kind of like a bro tat."

Why did Harry and Ed settle on Pingu ink, after the penguin character from the clay animation series?

Quite simply: because they wanted to.
